Simonize came out in 1910. It was used to make the varnish that they used on cars to last longer. If the varnish was dull you would have to use a product called rottenstone, it was a very fine abrasive that would clean and polish the varnish, then you would follow with Simonize paste wax.
I'm pretty sure it is Meguiars. They've been around since 1903. If I remember right, they started off making furniture polish and in fact, still make it. I've seen it at my Meguiars distributer.
