Which backing plate for Makita?

Cool, your laughing now. All set for a great detailing session

I understand that what we each like can be very different and I'm not putting Edge down at all. I've simply found something that I like more.when I first started buffing I was using 3M waffle (still do sometimes) and meg's foam

The edge is definately better than meg's IMO and I had great results with them, however since switching to Sonus and LC (inc foamed wool) plus edge black wool and meg's cut and shine wool, it's been a more enjoyable experience.

happy buffing kleraudio. We all have days that we'd rather forget now and then when buffing cars so if you do, just keep on fighting. I nearly gave up on detailing in early 06. Glad I fought on and learnt more from these guys and was able to improve my skills

Thanks SVR, Ive had days like that as well.

Thanks again for your tips and everyone elses input as well. What a drag it was to pick out pads and such.

And yes, now Im smiling and looking forward to using this stuff this weekend!

A girl I know has some serious water etching from 6 months of sprinklers and told me I can use her car as a project, so Im pretty excited about that! We will see what this thing can do!
