Which alternative pads for UNO use?

hmmmm...I don't use a PC any more. I left them with my last workshop. I now use a BO6040. Maybe I should re-invest in DA and try the MF pads.

Not sure if it is available to you, but try the GG or Meg's PC with the purple foamed wool or better yet the black tufbuff wool pad to correct. Never tried the BO6040, but always wanted to. I use the flex.

With the rotary it would have been way longer - tried it.

Sorry...I must be a bit thick, but are you saying that a Flex with forced rotation and wool pad was faster than a rotary and wool?

I can get the Megs PC locally but @ AU$299!

I have some purple foamed wool. Who sells the tuffbuff pads?

Yes, that is what I am saying. And on top of that one doesn't need to worry about holograms. Saves time.

David, you're brilliant! I've been using the Mak in forced rotation mode for so long I completely forgot that it also has a RO mode. :o It has a shorter throw than a PC though so I'm not sure how that will effect its performance, and how to compare it to a PC's performance with the same pads.

That's hard to believe...but I believe you! This is with UNO right? Would you say it still holds true with other polishes or just UNO?

I will say that it is worth it.

Oh no.....not more money! Must........resist............:eyebrows:

For the last 8 months in Portland it has been mostly cloudy/rainy - so I am forced to shy away from the rotary because I don't want to be surprised once the sun is out. So that made me "perfect" my game with the other polishers. But I do have to say that I am generalizing here. Every paint is different. Sometimes the rotary will cut faster on some paints. I think it is all about using the right polish, pad and polisher combo. If one can create a perfect finish (or as close as possible) who cares how it was achived? Right? (many times on flat black paint the pc finishes down way better than my flex of my flex rotary)

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.

As I mostly use uno, I am not sure about other polishes I haven't used in a while, but 105 acted the same way for me on the audi above.

Really!!!!!!!!! Not much of a town, but nice coastline and great lobster! I use to travel there for work once every 8 weeks.

What's the story? :eyebrows:

Just a teaser, but wanted to let ya guys know ahead of time. :secret

After working with alot of body shops, we will be coming out with an additional HD Pad. Some body shops can not use wool as it can make a mess, but want the cutting ability of wool. We will be releasing a ultra aggressive White HD pad. It is meant for body shop fresh sanded paint. The body shops testing it say that it has even more cutting ability than the Meguiar's Burgundy Pad. :whoo:

We plan to release this in August.
