Where's the water beading??

Tarios

Detailing=Artwork
I just got back my truck from Nissan..they had some overspray residue all over the roof-from a job they did on the truck hatch. Anyway,I had them clean it-afterall..the truck was brought there crytsal clean.
Well as a favour to me because my truck wasn't ready on time etc..they had my truck washed..
When I got it back..I was in shock..
I have NO idea what they washed it with..but it was STRIPPED down to metal..and just a disater of a job..matte, faded clear coat, streaks dull and scratchy looking everywhere..
It looked bad..It looked as if it was washed it with paint thinner..that's the best way I can describe it.
Anyhow.
I started my own treatment on it and applied
SSR2.5 (wow-brought it all back)
AIO
EX-P..
Now today it's raining..this job was done 2 days ago..
My hood is not beading with the rainfall we are having..
Why is this??
Is EX-P..not that water reppelant??
I maybe should've toipped it with Nattys I guess..
The truck looks great.a lot better than what they did to it...

WEll EXP sometimes sheets instead of beads. Try putting some nattys on it when you get chance and see what that does. I would file a complaint with the people who dulled your car and just let them know how unsatisfied you are. Since you have fixed it there isnt much you can do though.

Sorry to hear that happened to you.
Thats why when I drop off my wifes car at the dealer I stress highly that the car is not to be washed and they understand it.
If you take your car in for regular service there they will normally honor your wishes and soon you won't even have to tell them.

Greg is probably right regarding the sheeting (it's actually better than beading)

good luck

Ya..I didn;t expect them to wash it..
I guess he felt bad that I had to go back more than once...etc..
I realkly laughed and told him straight out that I preffered he hadn't washed it..

Complain??..bah....forget it...not worth it..if he thought spratying Armor All over my tires was some osrt of servie and retribution for bad service..what can I say to someone like that..
I'm just glad what I learned here and what I have bought has worked well to bring it back..
Thanks for the help on the beading issue...
'sheeting'..yes that is exactly what it looks like....
