Where's the suds?

I got my first chance yesterday to try my new Pinnacle kit. The bodywork shampoo was disappointing. Having used gold class for the last year, I was used to lots of suds. I used about 1 oz of the PBS in a 5-gallon bucket and activitated the suds with the hose. By the time I was half way done with the car, there were I was about out of suds. Kind of reminded my of the One Grand washNwax product. It was almost like I was using water only by the time I got to the wheels. Much different than gold class. Anyone else have this problem with PBS or have any suggestions as to how to use it better?

Thats pretty much my experience as well. The harder the water the less suds. It does clean well, though.

Mike I sugest you wash the wheels first with a smaller amount of soap and do the tires and inside the fenderwells first. Then when complete and rinsed. Dump the soap and clean bucket and make a new batch of soap. Then do the car. The two bucket method is prefered as it allows a way to clean your sponge or mitt and remove dirt from it with out getting it in the soap bucket.

When my suds get low I will shoot a bit more water in the bucket to make more or since my truck is so large I will use one bucket for the hood, roof and tail gate then make another bucket for the sides etc. I tend to make only about 3 gallons in the 5 gallon bucket and use appropriate amount of soap each time.

I suggest you read the washing section on the Autopia site it is very good. Good luck.

Mike, I love PBS a lot. I'm not sure what went wrong but then again I use a foam dispenser. I wash my other cars with MGC so I'll try it with PBS to see how different it is. I have had no problems with it before.
