besides online, is there any store that you guyz know that sells good foam guns. i thought lowes or something might have, but they didnt. what about city mill or something? i thought it was like an everyday household kinda use.

also what should i be looking for in a good foam gun?

I dont know your location so I cant comment on there... Around my area I have not found one local...i believe wally worlds, Homey D, and a few other store have cheap plastic foam guns some like it others dont including myself....i think others used a Mr clean Spot free but i have not used it nor will, I dont suggest it,but thats up to you....the Gilmour FG are high qualtiy in my eyes...You can try getting in contact with gilmour and see if they have dealers/stores in your area or check out janitorial stores or something to that and see if they carry it or simular...i think you best off ordering online plus your in luck if you decide, the cheapest someone posted up a FG is http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79279&highlight=foam+gun

thanks for all the responses. im from hawaii btw.

ya i wanted to try check some local stores, but guessing they arent gona have any so i guess i have to turn to getting it online.

Two major brands, Butcher and Gilmour, both are quality brands and are rebranded by other companies.

You might try janitorial supply stores in your city. My nearby city is 350,000 population and one of the janitorial supply stores had 6 Butcher brand foamguns in stock. I stopped looking at that point.

Give those type of shops a phone call first maybe.

I bought a mr. clean autodry a long time ago and like djmigs said I just recently used it like a foam gun, it works but is really just soapy water not really foam. I doubt it is as good as a real foam gun but it works.

You want to buy a Gilmour brand gun with the brass adjustment bar, but they do "rebrand" under some different names such as the Simple Green Foam Gun . I've never seen one locally, but this thread has the best price I have seen to date:

Edit: the one in this eBay link might not have the sliding brass adjuster. As others have posted I would order it from Danase if you don't find one locally.

It is tempting, although it does not have the sliding 5 position brass adjustment. I wonder how the 4oz / gallon setting works on this one....

I confirmed with the seller, it does not have the 5 position adjustment.

This is the model number of the one on E-bay:

75QGF - Quart Foam Gun w/standard 4 oz. per gal. single ratio dial

as seen at:

http://www.gilmour.com/Cleaning_Maintenance/Washguns/foamaster.asp

Does anyone have the Non - Adjustable unit? Does it still work Ok? I like the idea of being able to adjust the foam ratio....

Your thoughts?

I am thinking the Danase Foamgun is what I need.

Thanks for checking on that Padron, it was your post in the "good deals" forum that tipped me off that it wasn't adjustable.

I guess that single setting would work OK if you had your mix set just right. I don't use straight soap in mine, and since I just roughly squirt car wash soap in the water I like being able to adjust the foam ratio. For me it would be worth the extra $$$ to buy the one that is adjustable.

I was going to send that link to a friends wife as a Christmas present for him, but now I'm glad I sent her the link to Danase instead.

Agreed, The adjustability of the Danase Foamgun is a BIG + :)
