Turtle Wax Platinum Liquid Wax - T412R contains Bavarian Montan wax in addition to Carnauba Wax, it's the poor man's Black Ice version. Where can I get this stuff? Amazon is out of stock (wonder why lol) and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Where are you guys getting your supply from?

Is there a newer version of this stuff with perhaps a different name?

Ok cool, I checked out ebay and they have it there.

Is this wax still a forum favorite or are you guys using something newer? I know the T-412R has been discontinued in the US I believe.

It never was a forum favorite that I know of, but I took a few months away from detailing last year. Maybe I missed the memo about everyone using it. Black Ice is hands down the new kid on the block around here.

KIT Carnauba Wax and Pinnacle Souveran both contain carnauba. In fact a lot of the products contain similar types of raw ingredients. It is the amount, quality, blending, cooking, and additional chemicals that make the difference.

I've never heard of that product before today and I've been on here a while. Forum favorite? I rather doubt that.

It was never a forum favorette, but it was the best Turtle Wax had to offer. Somebody at TW must have had a nervous brake down to bring out ICE and remove Platinum. I was at the Turtle Wax factory watching them experment with Ice 15 years ago on employes cars . They had a hell of a time trying to keep it from streaking . I talked to one of there chemist and he said that he couldnt understand why they spent so much time on this product . It must have been a pet project for somebody upstairs.
