Where to buy new floor mats?

I know this isn't exactly a "detailing product", but I'm trying to hunt down a source for nice new floor mats. I'm looking for the carpeted kind.

Although I'd like to find a source that has mats for all different brands, my first purchases will most likely be for a 2001 Ford Escape and a 1995 Ford Explorer. The existing mats are pretty beat up, even after shampooing, and were cheap to begin with.

Thanks for the help!

Actually, you should try the local Ford dealership.

Sounds crazy and it seems like a good way to get ripped off, but I've seen a few dealerships that sold OEM floormat sets for $20-$30 and they were brand new, although a bit dusty.

Or you could always try Wally World or Pep Boys and get yourself some bright Type R floor mats.

Custom mats are the way to go. Highland, husky, and catchall to name afew. I believe catch all are the only ones that are carpet. I have the highlands in my jeep and love them. They are alittle slick, and since my jeep has a lift, its hard to get out of sometimes. My foot slips alot when its wet and hit the gas pedal, sucks if its running. :sosad

brew, take a look at post #6 in this thread. They have very good pricing on Lloyd mats. I have a couple of sets of the plushest mats - - they are extremely durable and nice to put your feet on.

Thanks folks.

Lots of good tips here - you've definitely helped me get my bearings in the world of floor mats. Those Lloyds sure look nice - they add up to something like $250 for front and back seats though. Maybe I'll wait until my wife gets a new car before I drop that kind of cash.

Cheers,

I have cocomats and like them a lot. They're made by hand from coconut husk fibers. I believe they were popular in the 60's amongst Porsche and BMW owners.

They're really durable, well-constructed, easy to maintain...and retro! :)
