Where to buy Meg's Final Detail??

Looks like I'll give dealergoodies a try, I think I might be able to get it next day then. Worse they can say is no. Otherwise I think I'll get from premiumautocare, closer to me than detailingdepot and I can get a small discount.

Can I use the FD on top of Klasse AIO or the Klasse HGS?

Will the FD stripped the AIO or the HGS since the FD is a Cleaner/wax?

My thoughts exactly. I have plenty of Final Insepction now and was considering FD but not if it strips the SG. BTW, just ordered a bunch of Meg's stuff at decent prices from ketone.com Will order the FD from there if it's safe for the SG when I have to get more qd.

If by "FD" you mean Meguiar's D-51 Final Detail, it is not a cleaner wax. It is a "Quick spray shine enhancer". It probably will work fine over most any wax or sealant. It also most likely will have to either wear off or be removed before you apply more sealant.

I found some Meguire's Final Detail in the local Canadian Tire auto store yesterday. I wasn't sure if it was the better one of the two (between Final Inspection or FD) so I didn't bother buying it. People are saying that you can only buy FD by the Gallon but I found a spraying applicator. I'll try it out since everyone raves about the stuff.

Try your local Megs dealer/distributor. They can order it and it should get there next day. Check the Megs site for dealer near you.

I pay $15.00 for a gallon.

I placed my order today with a local automotive paint refinishing company for the FD in 5 gallon bottle (part #D-5105). Cost me approximately $80.00 ($16.00/gal) shipped to Honolulu, HI which is not bad at all. But the kicker is I will have to wait 2 weeks for it. :(

I can't wait to try it out. I'll let you know how it compares to ClearKote QS which is now my favorite QD.

I believe the Meguiar's Final Detail is only available in 1 gallon (part #D-5101) and 5 gallons (part #D-5105).

The 16oz could actually be Meguiar's Final Inspection. :nixweiss

I just saw 16ozs Meg'd Final detail at Walmart yesterday.

I'm sure what you saw was Meguiars Quick Detailer in the red bottle. It's easy to get them all confued because of the similarity in the names. This is part of their consumer line and readily available at most retail stores. The product everyone is talking about is called Final Detail which only comes in the gallon size and is hard to find on the shelf. Most automotive paint supply stores can order it in for you. I did that, and it took me 2 days to get the product. The Final Detail is the best product of that type that Meguiars makes and that I've used. I still have some Quick Detailer and Final Finish, but I like Final Detail the best.:D

And don't forget, for those who are greedy, myself included, it comes in 5 gallon size as well:D

Final Detail is within the "Detailer Line" of products and can only be obtained through Meguiars dealers/distributors and those dealers online. You wound see it in retail stores which is unfortunate!

Great stuff!

To add to the confusion. He probably saw "Quik Detailer" not "Quick Detailer". No "c" in Quik. Another little bit of confusion in Meguiar's product names. The "Quick Detailer" with the "c" is a fairly aggressive cleaner/wax. Probably not the thing for most enthusiasts. If you read the description and instructions on the container of any Meguiar's product before you purchase or use the product, it will help you get the right thing and use it properly.
