when it rains... a "threefer"

DaGonz

Autopia fire/rescue.
I worked a Saturday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift for the ambulance company I work per diem for yesterday, March 19th.

We brought a patient into the ER for evaluation for possible admittance. While we were there and my partner was filling out and filing his patient care report, I managed to line up three detailing jobs from the ER staff! :spot

All I have to do now is get my schedule from the Fire Academy and my April ambulance schedule straightened out...

I am in Fire Academy right now myself!

How far along are you?

I am not a student... I work per diem there in the support services division. We are the guys that drive the rigs, set up and ignite the fires in the burn building and assist the instructional staff. I could be an instructor, but there I can be one of the "grunts"... I have enough responsibility at the firehouse.

I've been a career firefighter for 29+ years and hold the rank of Deputy Chief. I wear many hats there..shift commander, incident commander, public information officer, communications officer and also do plan review and inspectional details.
