When is it ok or not ok to apply additional coats of wax?

Ok - I ALREADY DID A SEARCH...



Yesterday I polished and put one coat of wax on my BMW. I wanted to put more coats of wax on but was just too tired. How much later can I put additional coats on? If I go out on the road won't it get stuff on the paint that I'll just wax in?

I believe he uses P21S Wax, "hand poured from Germany." Or at least thats what the CMA banner says above.
