I have a set of 17" BBS wheels on my saab. 1 has a little curb rash but they all seem to be pealing and 1 is kinda bubbling. What do I do? I have clayed and aio, little help with dirt and stuff. What are my options and approx cost? Should I get them painted? Chrome? I dont know what options there are.

Ouch! That doesn't look good I'm afraid. I don't think there's much you can do other than repainting. I'm going to guess that the car sits outside all the time and the wheels were rarely washed, and never sealed?

The car is a 2000 and I just got it in may. The wheels pretty much looked like that when i got it. I have tried to keep them as clean as possible. However saabs have more brake dust than your avg car. I have to clean them almost every 4 days and there DIRTY. So I am going to switch to ceramic pads but still the wheels look like this. :scared:

When you say sealing the wheels, what product you would suggest KSG? I have the aio but yet to get the sg. I would like to use the same sealant for my wheels as my car(black). I have been reading good things about AJ (right name?) is better possibly (or easier) than KSG, can i use it on my wheels?

I had a 17" Audi OEM wheel refinished once. I think it cost me a little over $100 just to give you an idea of what the cost will be like. It was my own fault too. I was cleaning it while it was off the car and it slipped out of my hand landing face first on my sandy, cement garage floor.

:furious: $100 a wheel? That means $400 for all of them (if my math is right) and thats almost enough to buy a new set of rims ***

Not to buy a new set of BBS 17s. ;)

Yeah I meant something like KSG. I used AIO and Wolfgang sealant x2 on my wheels last summer, and when I cleaned them up for storage in November, the dirt/dust washed right off the entire wheel with zero effort. I was very impressed.

Yes you could use AIO and AJ on the wheels.

haha, not quite. that would be a third of one wheel of our lowenharts. 400 is a fine price (maybe even too low) to fix a set of four. look at a few local to you shops. you could try repainting them on your own before you pay to have it done and see if you are happy with it perhaps...
