Wheel well detail stuff

That's the stuff I'm using. It may have changed it's name recently, but it is the clear Eagle One dressing in the spray bottle.

What do you guys use to dress really rough wells? I have a few smooth parts and can dress them with ease, but most of the well is brown and rough. It would tear a sponge or foam applicator to pieces. Let me find a picture.

I use the same products and methods as others have already noted...heavy solution of car wash for the well maintained, add a spray of APC (4:1 - 1:1) as needed...use various brushes and a wash mitt to agitate. For dressing, both tires and wheel wells, I like PB's BnB. I spray an old Meg's GC yellow foam applicator and apply. I wear either latex or nitrile gloves when dressing these areas.

01WJLimited, after cleaning the wells with a brush (try a toilet bowl brush - don't scrub too hard, let the cleaner do the work) those wells would be a good candidate for one of the spray-n-walk products.

How you suppose clean a ride thats been slammed to the ground? Haha, lets say you have 1" of clearance. Good one huh?

klnyc, I actually filled up one of those gallon pesticide sprayers from Wal-Mart or Home Depot with hyper dressing cut 4:1 (if you can find anything that can cut with water you should be fine) and the sprayer it comes out is a very thin pencil-like handle. Fits perfectly in my lowered G35.

Or if you really want to get them cleaned for a show or something jack the car up a little bit. This will give you more room to work. It may not be beneficial for all cars but it is a solution.

Car wash soap and a brush to clean. Never needs anything stronger. I dress them with Stoners Trim Shine. This stuff is great for wells. No need for an applicator or buffing just spray and walk away. Dries hard and even for me.

DITTO for me! :D Great stuff that Trim Shine and Invisible Glass!

One thing to add to this, I like to use cheap tire foam on my wheel wells. Itseems to cover better!! I hate seeing clean vehicles with dirty-a$$ wells!!!
