Wheel Protection: Poorboys, Opti-Seal, other?

Ok I'm going to apply DG501 to my wheels. Can someone who's done this before give me some tips on application? I'll clean the wheels first with ONR, then diluted OPC, then rinse and dry them. Should I apply the 501 with a foam or microfiber applicator? How much should I use per wheel--nickel sized? Do I need to work in the polish to get the cleaning benefits?

Wash and dry the wheels however you like. Then use about a dime sized amount of 501 per wheel. Work it until you feel you aren't getting any additional benefit. I'd use the cheapest applicator you can find as it is going to get trashed.
 
Nanoskin Brakedust is a great product. Super durable, and easy to apply. Just spray it on, let it sit 10 minutes and rebuff with microfiber towel.

Yup, I've been a Nanoskin believer for years. They are really innovative, and not just the autoscrub ;)
