Wheel brush pulled apart

I have a Carrand wheel brush that I've been using for a few months now- it's a common design that a lot of them have. Here it is:

The problem is that the wires have pulled free from the handle. I can't believe that it's already failed. Has anyone else had this problem with this brush?

I've always had failure happen rather quickly with these type brushes. To fix the problem I bought a short handle boars hair wheel brush, swissvax wheel brush, and an EZ Detail brush. This combo can handle anything for me and I've been going six months everyday with no problems.. These brushes also have many different uses because of the softness and durability. You can use them for agitating many parts of a car and getting in engine crevices.

How much did you pay for it? I'd just get another one.

It was only like 6 or 7 bucks. I'll probably just pick another one up in a pinch, since the local in-store selection of such items in my area is rather sparse.

That EZ Detail Brush looks nice!! Is it soft? And what about that bit of wire sticking out the top? With my luck, that little rubber cap will pop off at just the wrong time and I'll put a nice gouge in something. :nervous2:

Heh heh, after a few months of use I'd say you got your money's worth :D

I'm not a huge fan of the EZ brush, but most people find the bristles soft enough and I've never had the rubber cap come off the wire core. There's a similar, but supposedly better, version for sale at AutoGeek.
