I found these and some other meguiars proline products for a great price. But are they good enough for me to justify their purchase buy the gallons? Also do i want a silicone or water base dressing?

Wheel Brightner, Meguiars APC, Last Touch Spray. I have not tried any of the products list and all come in one gallon containers.

1) Wheel Brightner will replace the Meguairs All Wheel cleaner.

2) Meguiars APC is something i can use, the only cleaner i have been using is Simple Green at the moment.

3) Last Touch Spray will be used fo ar lube and Quick clean ups like finger prints, smudges ETC.

Haven't used any of the products, but autodetailingsolutions.com has them in 32oz. sizes. From the reviews I've seen, definitely get Wheel Brightener, and remember that it can be diluted 3:1, water:WB.

As for dressings, I have been talking to a chemist who told me that most non-aerosol dressings are water-based, whether they contain silicones or not. He also said that silicones probably pose little risk to rubber/vinyl and that they are solely a positive. Most milky white dressings have PDMS silicone in them, while others (like probably Trim Restorer) have a longer chain which is more hydrophobic and more likely to be called solvent-/oil-based. Basically, feel free to go with the ones that contain silicones.

They are great, but they are dilutable and will last a long long time if you dont do a large volume of cars. Autodetailingsolutions.com sells sample sizes. As far as waterbased or Silicone if your not working in a body shop I think either will do, You might also check out the hyper dressing, which isnt body shop safe, and the super degreaser.

1) Wheel Brightner will replace the Meguairs All Wheel cleaner.

Wheel Brightener is acidic and even diluted at 4:1 is probably to harsh for weekly usage. I have a gallon and love it but only use it for neglected wheels.

2) Meguiars APC is something i can use, the only cleaner i have been using is Simple Green at the moment.

This is another great product I have. I dilute it 10:1 and use it on interiors. It will foam up a bit when brushed. You will love it. I also use it on wheels and tires and wheels.

3) Last Touch Spray will be used fo ar lube and Quick clean ups like finger prints, smudges ETC.

I dilute it at 1:1 and use it stricly for claying but it works good as a qd too.

I am a waterless detailer and I get my stuff from either professor Amos' products and Dri Wash'n guard they got all I need even for the nastiest jobs.
But I am an independent Detailer so I can stay away from nasty ones but yes try them out they make the job a little easier. :eat:

Yeah i read this on another thead over SG. I use it only on the whitewalls. I wonder if i can get the same results with the Megs APC..

Greg,
besides dressing your tires with Hyper-Dress what else do you use it on..
Per Gregs advice i'll p/up the 32 oz bottles but i wanna a gallon of last touch to use as a lube when claying..

THe hyper dressing dresses Tires, Wheels, Engines, Trim. I havnt used it on interior, but I think at the proper dilution it couldl be done. I like using it at 2:1. ITs gives a nice gloss but not greasy or super glossy.
