Whats your opinion #915 on Silver

My new Camaro ZL1 finally here and I'm trying to decide what product to go with.

I had the dealer do nothing to it so I'm gonna prep it , polish , wax , ect,….

I think Ive narrowed it down to OPT products on the complete car but wanted to get your opinion on the Collinite  #915 as either a stand alone LSP op a topper on top of a polish ( which will probably be OPT/ GPS or Hyper polish .

Thank you

I'd say 915 looks better on dark paint. I'd also go with a coating if it was my new car. Carpro CQUK would be the ticket on silver. Hit it with carpro eraser before applying any LSP.

My car is very silver like in that it is a light grey/green metallic.   I've found wax based products tend to darken it.  You may like this look, but I didn't care for it.  Duragloss 105 on the other hand really makes the metallic  pop and is very high shine----and I get 6 months or more of protection with an occassional application of AquaWax.  Going to give FX1000p a try if I ever get a chance to apply it.

I don't want to put a coating on the car I would rather do simple maint. I will be washing with ONR. I also have Z products , but don't really know if they is what I want on the car.

I'll skip the 915 and try it on the Silver 4Runner 1st. since on that DD vehicle that see a lot of abuse I prefer the Collonite

I know that DG products give a great shine and durability. This car will be covered and stored during winter so durability I would want to be good but I'm after the shine.

Personally, I'd go with Optimum Gloss-Coat and then just wash my car the next two years. Which is what I did with my own car. And its pretty much as easy to use as Opti-Seal now.

I've coated my last 3 cars and all I've had to do is wash them, other than occasionally testing an LSP on them. Makes life so much easier since I do this for a living. I want my own car to not only look as good as possible, but take as little time as possible too.

But to answer your question, I haven't used #915 but 476S looks really good on silver.

476, FK1, and POXY will all look great on Silver.

If you want max durability for 6 months without going to a coating... 2 coats of 476, 24hrs between coats.

Hi Fall,

Two of the three vehicles we have are silver too. On my truck I have Klaase SG on the half of it and get many positive comments. Next spring though I will coat the rest of it. On the old CR V, I had Opti Seal. Looked good as well.

A coating is the way to go which I did on my wife's new subaru. Icredible ease and time savings when keeping a vehicle maintained.

You mentioned that you have a particular coating in mind so if your research has led you there then go with that one and enjoy!

Good Luck!
