What's your most popular service?

I hate that this section in the forum doesn't get more attention. There's so much for the successful and unsuccessful to teach! But we're all busy and that prevents us from getting on here telling our story.

But I digress... So there are so many services to offer along with detailing, services to upsell, additional products to offer. I'm here to ask (in an effort to grow, train, etc...) what's your bread and butter? What is it that your business just can't live without?

Here's the scoop: I have an opportunity to obtain a shop cheap, whereas I am a home based business now and cannot acquire foot traffic. I am recently full-time and sustainable, but certainly have room for growth. I am not trained yet in many aspect of the detailing world that I may need to be (wheel restoration, pdr, vehicle wraps). I realize that other services will take much time and training, but that's not the concern. The concern is, and I realize it all depends on my market, where do I reach out first. I'm interested to see where everyone else has seen their most growth and/or highest profits. No figures needed.

thanks in advance

My most popular is my Full Detail package for daily drivers, both now that I'm mobile and when I had my shop. Opti-Coat is right there with it.

My most popular service, by far, is my premium detail that is a clay/polish/one step/sealant exterior and basically full interior. Prices really won't do you much good because while most people think I'm horribly expensive I live in a low cost area and make GREAT money off my packages. Other parts of the country people would go bankrupt working for my prices. My most profitable services are add-on services and coatings.

Thanks for your input. I guess I should have included this in my first post but mine is also my "complete" detail which includes wash/wax and complete interior w/ shampoo.

Mark, mine is actually the same way. I live in a very low cost area so incredibly expensive services are out of the question. A $500 service in this area is a lot and you fight for those. My add-ons are my money makers and Opti-Coat seems to be the big up-sell now. What other add-ons do you offer?

It's interesting when I look at where everyone is from and what their most popular services are. I wanted to start this thread to see if it made a huge difference, being in a small town vs larger city, how much people care about their vehicles. Now, I have no concrete evidence to prove this, but just looking at demographics for where everyone is located sure is helpful. Please keep these coming guys, this is helping my research to decide whether or not I should be available fully mobile to my nearest city. Thanks!

My most popular by far is my Base Exterior (1-step) and Opti-Coat Pro application....next would be the Premium Exterior (2-step) and Opti-Coat Pro.

DrivePur treatments

Add-on paint sealants (coatings really) such as Detailer's Pride Paint Coating and Wolf's Hard Body

Opti-Glass

Seems to be a winning combo for me. Really easy to sell the DrivePur on interior details and really helps my bottom line. I'm doing well keeping my add-ons small and simple but knowing them very well and pushing them hard.

The coatings seem trivial but for only a few dollars per application, I can easily up sell them for the longevity they provide with only a little extra effort on my part.

coatings like 22PLE, opticoat, cquartz offer MUCH better protection and last years, not months. Therefore, the client saves over time with an initial upfront payment. The way my pricing works, my clients save 400-500 on their detailing over the course of 2 years when they do the coating option. Worth every penny saved!

I would do wash and wax jobs, and one steps mobile, but 2 steps and full corrections in house if I had the option.
