Whats your go-to waterless?

I`ve never used the megs or PBMG ones. I have tried a few waterlesses, though. My current go to is Shine Supply Eco Shine. VERY concentrated and works great. It is a dual purpose waterless and rinseless. You dilute it 1oz concentrate with 31oz of water. It works fantastically. I will try ONR soon. I`ve also tried a sample of UWW and its great.

How does Trifecta effect the properties of the lsp that is under it? Does it allow for easy rinsing off of dirt?

When you layer your LSP with any product containing wax, the top layer will be the characteristics you see. So if you have a sealant on the bottom that is known to sheet water then top it with a wax that is known to provide a lot of beading, the characteristics you will see when the paint gets wet will be the beading. As that wears down you will start to see the sheeting action from your bottom layer.

Trifecta actually contains a nano wax that will bond to your existing LSP or even bare paint, but doesn`t contain harsh solvents that will remove existing protection. When you mix in spray wax concentration you are increasing the wax content being applied to the surface. Common characteristics will be beading under a mist to light shower and a sheeting effect under heavy pressure. It took us a few months to balance the cleaning ability with the high wax content to make it effective in all 3 categories - rinseless, waterless, and spray wax.

Here are some pics I have, a full review is hard on a mobil device, but will get to.

Thank you for the review and your truck looks awesome! If you haven`t mixed Trifecta in spray wax concentration yet, try it soon and let me know how you like it following a waterless or rinseless wash. You can also follow a traditional wash with it as you dry. :)

Trifecta has my interest. At spray wax, how is the beading and sheeting and what`s the durability like on it (looks and water behaviour )?

My third picture from the bottom is actually a beading pic after a brief down pour. I was really impressed. My side panels were slick when cleaning the road film off. Any other time my media is grabby till I can cut through it.

When you mix in spray wax concentration you are increasing the wax content being applied to the surface. Common characteristics will be beading under a mist to light shower and a sheeting effect under heavy pressure. Durability averages about 4 weeks on a daily driven car, which isn`t too bad for the type of product this is. Other dedicated LSP`s will have the edge in durability but Trifecta is a maintenance product. It was designed from the very beginning to specifically clean and maintain ceramic coated vehicles in a safe and effective manner.

I actually just did that to the Taurus today. The gloss is slightly better, the slickness however is really akramped up. My buffing towel just glided over the paint.

The truck is the test horse, the Taurus only receives qualified products.

I have noticed the WW plays well in the sun. It does not streak at all. If it dries in an area simply mist and wipe.

Sorry no pics of the Taurus, it`s raining and I believe sun pics serve true justice on a product. If sunny tomorrow I will get some sun shots.

Are there any plans to expand the product line? I am interested in the line, since this product seems so well designed.

Playing well in the sun is a huge factor for us. Not all details can be performed in a garage or under a car port.

Yes we are planning to expand the line beyond the detail spray and Trifecta. Each product has received the same amount of attention from start to finish. Let`s just say the last 3 1/2 years have been a very busy and lengthy period.

UWW+, URW, D114

It really depends why I`m using the waterless wash.

  • I`d use UWW+ when I want some protection from the WW or anticipate rain before an event and won`t be able to wash the car again before the event (daily driving and friends cars).
  • I`d use URW there`s no rain in the forcast and I want that extra-glossy wet-paint look (cars & coffee and drag racing).
  • I`d use D114 to clean and remove dust without adding anything extra to the paint as it maintains the look and characteristics of the LSP (LSP product review and LSP product testing).

This is the exact topic I was looking for. Forgive me, but what is URW? I am new to waterless washing/waxing and I have it narrowed down to two products; Meguiars UWAW and UWW+. I noticed your comment that URW leaves a extra glossy wet look and that is what I am ultimately looking for. I have ordered the UWAW and UWW+ from amazon as those have great reviews there and here. I am hoping that I can waterless washing in between actually washes. I don`t always have time to get a full wash and it would be nice to do a quick 20min `wash` before taking my truck out somewhere to have it look clean. Being black, a wet glossy look is what I am after.

It is Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash, which has a WW dilution for it. It is glossy.

Gloss Shop Trifecta is great for gloss and has dilutions for RW, WW, QD, and spray wax. It also leaves protection behind.

Thank you! I have UWAW and UWW+ on the way to try them out. I bought the concentrated version of UWW+, as almost every review I read, was positive so it seems it would be good to keep around. Comparing URW to those two, how does it compare gloss wise? I am looking for maximum gloss.

I have no experience with UWW+, but on my Taurus the Megs product edges out the Uber in gloss

Done with Megs UWAW

That came out beautiful! That is what I am looking for and I am already a big fan of Meg`s products. Thanks for posting those.

My biggest issue is lack of a garage. Weather is Colorado is nuts. Plus being in Colorado where the weather is bipolar frustrates me so much. If I can use a product like this in between washes (usually on Friday and Saturdays, once a week), I will be happy. It would be really nice to be able to do a quick wash on it without having to go to the car wash or pull out the bucket and soap. If I can do it in front my house and get a gloss shine, I will be happy.

Thank you, and your welcome. The UWAW does get expensive. You may want to find a concentrate like Megs D115 which is the bulk "Detailer" version.

I have been looking at that as well but figured I would try a small bottle first to see if I like it or not. I also looked at Chemical Guys EcoSmart and Aero Comestics as a cost alternative.

I highly recommend Gloss Shop Trifecta, very similar to Meguiars. IMHO the protection last longer.

Wolfgang Uber is much more economical @ 1:48 for waterless wash/QD strength. I prefer it to D115 too. Not as stinky and washes out of my towels better.

Heres the gloss on a Ford Fusion (hadnt been washed in months just did URW):

For waterless I prefer UWW+.

Already looking at it. If this stuff works like I hope it does, I will be investing in a gallon of D115 to use during the summer time. Call me old fashioned but I don`t think I will be able to use it year around due to the heavy snow we get in CO. I still would like to pressure wash my truck to get under the wheel wells, frame, bumpers, etc.
