What's your favorite tire dressing and applicator?

I'm looking to upgrade from Vinylex via foam wax applicator and i'm looking for a better applicator and better dressing for my fair-weather ride and would love to hear your input. I'm thinking adams dressing applicator and poorboys BnB. Any thoughts?

I prefer Bnb and TOL Hi-Temp Grape dressing. If applied properly neither will sling & both give me the look I prefer.

I bought an applicator from TOL that works great on anything greated that a 45 series profile tire. It applies just enought dressing & works especially well on tires that have a textured (not "clean" or smooth sidewall). It rotates, has a yellow knob for a handle & cost about $10. Pad refills are available.

Lately i've been using Meguiars nxt tech protectant or whatever they call it now and an eagle tire swipe.

Mind you I think Vinylex is better then what I use. I stopped using because local supplier went under and since the cost was high already, mail ordering it wasn't something I was going to do.

I use a water based dressing (I think #501) by Dealers Choice which is carried by my Auto Magic rep. $15 a gallon (less in 5 gallons). For application I use my old tire / wheel brushes which are tan 9" with green bristles. A bulk of my business is washes and I found this to be the fastest way I could get the dressing on the tire regardless of tire tecture. I spray the dressing on the brush.

Recently I've been trying BNB on my cars and a few regulars. Very pleased with that. Still testing though so don't know whether or not I'll spend the money to use it all the time.

The Michelin Tire Shine has been working well for me. It has pretty good durability, a nice matte look, doesn't sling. Before that I was using the Teflon Tire Shine, which worked very good also. Both are available locally.

Just finished using Meg's #40, not bad. I've also been using Tropi-Care's Tire/Rubber Dressing (New Stuff), lasts forever. Next, I will start using Adam's Knockout. Favorite app. would be EO Tire Swipe for SUVs.

Two favorites are Poorboys BNB and Meg's Endurance (Purple Gel)
Both Applied with EO Tire Swipe.

Another vote for Poorboy's Bold N Bright!

Absolutely no sling, nice finish, affordable, not messy like gels. :jump

I like Poorboy's Bold 'n Bright applied with this sponge applicator

.
I let it sit for about an hour before driving
- haven't had any problems yet with slinging :D
but I have heard of some people who prefer
a slightly more "matte" look wiping it down after 15 or 20 minutes.

After I've washed and used my Meguiar's foam applicators a couple times after using them for waxes/polishes, I clean them really well again and use them for the tire dressings. I've gotten into the habit of using a rubber glove when applying using those applicators.

Interestingly enough, I've been using Armorall Extreme Shine dressing with an Eagle One Tire Swipe with great success. Even though it says "extreme shine" on the bottle it also says to just spray on. If you swipe it on it gives a look that's similar to about 3 applications of VRT, but it lasts for about two weeks.

As an added bonus, every bottle you purchase gives you 6 months of subscription to Motor Trend.

My favorite dressing for a while has been adams vrt. I ran out of BnB but that was good too. As far as applicators go, I use baja sol applicators that pappy got me for christmas. They were the old target brand before vroom.

I'm enjoying my Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel. It gives a really great look, NO grease, and lasts anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks (with no rain, slightly diminishing look). I apply it with a foam applicator (the same kind that most people prefer to use with a paste wax). I find that this applicator has a low "nap" (since it's so thin), so the product doesn't just all "fall" down into the foam like an Eagle One Tire Swipe, resulting in less product usage.

I also like the Michelin Dressing, though. It gives a very nice matte look (just a little shine) on most tires, but doesn't last as long as Wolfgang, and is much thinner (where WG is a gel) so I use more, even though it's cheaper.

I really want to try Bold n' Bright though. Anybody who's tried BnB, what does it most compare to? From the pics it looks a little like Micheline, but they're just pics so it's kinda hard to tell....

Thanks

My favorite is Poorboys Bold and Bright applied with an Eagle One Tire Swipe.
It seems when using the BnB the tires are easier to clean without using harsh soaps or chemicals ... in fact the BnB actually does clean the tires as well as give them a semi-gloss black finish.
I usually wash out the tire swipe every other month or so ... I store it in an open plastic container and just add more BnB when it is time to do the tires.
