What's your favorite sealant?

I've really been enjoying Zaino Z-2 Pro on my trunk lid only so far. Very, very durable and very close in look to my revered AIO+Souveran combo.

So when I see you professional detailers posting on the board, does that mean you don't have any cars to detail today or do you take breaks to read this board ?

If I am here during the day, you can bet the reason is weather related or I have taken a Sunday off. Every once in a while, I can come home for lunch or I have a couple hours in between appointments where I pop online for a few. Can't speak for the others though.

i'm part of the others, strictly weeknights and weekends for me :D

my day job allows me to talk about my passion of detailing with you all.. I just wish one day i can turn my passion into a full time gig :D I'm working on that though.

Favorite Sealants:

Mothers FX Synwax (for a nice glassy look)

Meguiars #21 Synthetic Sealant (for a slightly deeper look)

Other Sealants I like:

Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection (aka UPP)

Testing:

Meguiars #20 Polymer Sealant

Detailers Pride Premium Surface Shield

All I have tried (so far) is UPP on my white car and it's super slick (under AIO). I really don't see another sealant that will beat UPP on *my* car.

I reach for UPP, WG, EX, and #218 most often. If FMJ was at a lower price point it would be my top choice.

I noticed a couple of Z2Pro fans. I must say that I'm no fan of Zaino as I've tried multiple attempts with Z5 that have turned out to be nightmares. The first time I used too much product and couldn't get it off so I had to take it off with another product. The next time I used it, i put it on very thinly, almost invisible as instructed, and it was still difficult to remove and left streaks on the hood. Though the product may give great results to some, it apparently does not work for me and I don't know why. I have used other sealants like #21 with no problems at all.

did you spritz some z6? it really aids in removal.

My current choices are (in no specific order):

A. DP Premium Surface Shield - IMO, it has the best parts of UPP and EX-P.

B. WG Deep Gloss Sealant - This choice is kind of skewed because it always serves as an intermediate step - I always top this with a carnauba wax.

C. Klasse AIO - This product does not need an introduction...I use it under everything.

I purchased Zaino (z-1 and Z-2 Pro) almost a year ago but have not had an opportunity to use it since I haven't mechanically polished during the same timeframe. However, I do look forward to trying soon so my choices might be different the next go around :)

MCA :getdown (just had to do the dancing banana...)

Z2 pro is my fav.

UPP is my favority to apply and remove though. It is awesome removing UPP from a panel with a DFTowel.

I have been using the Klasse twins for a few years. Just can't be beat on vehicles that only get full detail once or twice a year. I use it on my own vehicle for winters but I just topped it with OCW for the first time. It has only been a couple of weeks but I can say this much about OCW ...... it looks great, beads extremely well, and is the easiest wax/sealant I have used to date. It may become my go to LSP in the near future. I can't find anything negative about the OCW yet except that it is too easy to be this good!
