What's your favorite performance tire?

I'm going to give Genearl Exclaim UHP tires a try, based on reviews at thetirerack.com they are one of the best in the "all season ultra high performance" at a fair price.

I'm running the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. For the price(rebate) they are very good. Low noise, great dry and wet performance, very good ride and seem to be wearning well. No tramlining as well.

Toyo Proxes T1R on my 350Z. Staggered setup; 285/35/19 in the rear and 255/40/18 front. Terrific tire, dry or wet.

I've done alright with the Continental ContiExtremeContact. They've offered me long tread life, very good handling, and are pretty damn good in the snow for a 50 series tire. I currently have Yokohama AVID V4S and can't stand them. They suck in the snow and tread life is horrible. I'm trying to wear them done by the end of the year so that I can replace them with either the Avon Tech M550 A/S, Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S, or back to the Continental ContiExtremeContact. It will probably take me till the end of the year to decide any way.

I have T1-R's on my G, 245/225. On the 335i I'm putting on Pilot Sports, I haven't tried them yet but all reviews are good, except the tread wear seems a little low. 275/245.

Michelin Pilot Sport 2's.

For all the Michelin Pilot Sport fans out there look at the PS2's. Rated better than the original Pilot's. see the ratings at Tire Rack in the Max performance section. Its an awesome tire. I also like the BFG KDW2's.

I guess it depends on the level of performance you're looking for. Right now I run Falken Azeni 615s on my track car, but that's really an agressive street tire, not a racing tire.

Holy thread resurrection from the dead :P Bridgestone Re-11's...one of the best tires I have ever used. Not bad in the rain if you drive like a normal person lol. for street tires you are going to be hard pressed to beat this tire. The only downside is the cost. they are a bit pricey, but well worth it IMHO.

I dont suggest fast 1-2 shifts on wet roads but that should be common sense.

car is a 08 350Z.

+ Dunlop SP Sport Maxx

I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and the great traction -heck, I thought I was putting cheepies on my car and felt guilty at first.

I put UHP's on my 560sel and have been very pleasantly surprised by these tires. The car is no porsche to begin with, but it seems to take very spirited driving well with these tires.

They are a great value and worlds away from the General tires i have known in the past.
