What's your favorite liquid wax ...

Anyone try any of the CG's liquid waxes with a PC?

I apply CG's Extreme Depth Carnauba & Butter Wet Wax with my PC. Super easy to use. Even easier to remove. I was once in love with Butter Wet Wax because of it's initial wet look, but it's fallen from grace for me due to it's 2 week longevity. On the other hand, the Extreme Depth Carnauba has performed decently for me. I'd say it's a "solid" product. Not mind blowingly exceptional, just solid.

Other liquid waxes I've applied via PC are Meg's #26, CK CMW & Souveran. Once again, super easy to use.

As for "favorite" liquid wax..........I'm a "paste wax" junkie. Just my preference. But the nod would go to CMW.

percynjpn & PennyPacker- As best I can tell the WPS is a *little* more aggressive than consumer MP (Metallic PolishWax) but less aggressive than Pro MP. Yeah, that's really splitting hairs. It's not like it's so aggressive that you have to be any more careful with it than with the MP and I think of it as a cleaner-wax. The WPS *does* seem to do more filling/concealing than MP and it's another of those incredibly user-friendly 1Z products. I bet that preferences between WPS and MP could just about come down to liking the WPS's purple color better than the MP's pink...these are some mighty similar products even though 1Z tries to make them all sound *so* unique.

.. because of Accumulator posting about how he loves to apply pastes via PC that I tried it a couple weeks ago. I actually really like applying pastes by PC now. .

Glad it works as well for you as for me. I'd used Malm's liquid for ages but once I tried paste-by-PC I went back to #16 and haven't really used liquids much since.

Pretty much any LSP I have gets put on with the PC. The only one I really don't use with the PC is EX-P, because the PC puts on such a thin layer which is hard to see on lighter colors, and I only use EX-P on light colors, so it just doesn't work for me with that. My two favorite for use with a PC are Blackfire and Liquid Souveran, as those just seem to spread forever and they leave a uniform, ultra thin layer when used with the PC that buffs off easier than anything I have used.

I always apply liquids with my PC. It is really only because of Accumulator posting about how he loves to apply pastes via PC that I tried it a couple weeks ago. I actually really like applying pastes by PC now. I've only tried it with Max Wax but it seemed so much faster. It was quite nice. I am thinking this is my new method for pastes.

Do you happen to remember the post where Accumulator used the PC for applying wax?

I had the same experience with NXT a bit by accident. I started out applying NXT paste by PC because I didn't know about NXT liquid. Finally I tried the liquid NXT thinking it would be really great for PC application and, although I thought it was about the same effort or maybe slightly easier than paste to apply, it just didn't look as good when it was done. My experience is that the paste works better (for NXT anyway) and application effort is about the same for paste and liquid.

try applying paste wax with 4"pads (got both the backing plate and pads from patrick at exceldetail :) ). it works perfect, you just dip the pad/pc in the tin, swirl it around a little, and viola! using this method a tin will last you forever! :woot:
