Just as the title states...list your favorite (or favorites) 1-step paint correction combo that leaves the paintwork LSP ready.

Machine / polish / pad

Believe it or not, I'm a big fan of Menz IP, orange pad, and Flex 3401 for 1-step correction. I have yet to introduce any micro-marring with this method on about 10-12 cars so far. Granted, I could probably get some more correction / gloss with a finishing polisin or a traditional 3-step job, but that's not always in the customer's budget.

I thought 1-step was .......one step. Polish/protectant, all in one step.

Mine is probably One Grands Clean-N-Wax......via a UDM of course, with either a 5.5" White or Orange pad....

^^^^ im with you patrick...one step is just that a polish/wax in one....poliseal, megs 66, one grand C&W, hi temp's one....

my go to combo for most paints = PC, orange 5.5, poliseal

I agree with :

Except I use a PC and the orange pad is a 5.5" low profile LC version (that Patrick dislikes)!

Hehehe, they wadded up on me like a cheap date!! I found myself more concerned about the pad, then the swirls........Whats your likes vs the traditional 1.25"?

To me "one step" is one step paint correction/polishing. LSP is *always* considered in the price of my details; the customer *is* going to be getting at least a wash and an LSP. What goes between the wash and LSP is the number of polishing steps.

That's what I had in mind, unless I was using Poli-Seal because it has some corrective ability and protects.

To answer Patrick's -

I use them on my PC, (orange & white) and never had any issues, I use Menzerna IP and FFII respectively. To me, the smaller - lighter pads gives the PC more correction ability and I find myself not having to use as much pressure on the PC. Just me - ya'll take it with a grain of salt.

No one mentioned OP. If I am doing a single step polish I like to use OP then follow with an LSP. With either and orange or green pad and the flex. It leaves the paint glossy and cuts pretty well and leaves it LSP ready. I have a longer working time than most other polishes. Never had a complain yet, and I like it a lot. 106 (well the black fire version which I hear is the same thing) dusts like crazy. I don't like it at all.
