What's up with backing in to parking spaces?

The company that I used to work for had that as a requirement. In order to drive one of their vehicles you had to take their safe driving course. Requirement was that when parking you had to either pull through a space so that you can just drive out or had to back into it. Reason being that when leaving you had a full field of view and less accidents were caused by you the driver of their vehicle. If you're vehicle was noticed in any given lot and it was not parked properly, you would get written up by the supervisor!!!



It makes sense to me and I still do it today.
