What's the next aggressive polish after using Menz IP

I have Menz IP. I think I need a little more aggressive polish/compound for use of my PC. What do you guys recommend? There's so many out there, but not sure which one. Thanks...

Any 1000 to 1300 grit compound or leveler is next in line.

If IP doesn't cut it, try Sonus SFX 1 (1200) with a medium cutting pad and up to a heavy if necessary

Others I use

Optimum compound or hyper with heavy cutter pad

States on the bottle 1500 grit but if you use a sonus das orange or LC yellow, it can really cut well

You could jump up to a more aggressive pad, of course. But assuming you've gone that route and still need more aggressive polish, if you want to stick to the same family of products, try Menz Power Gloss. Although I have not used it yet, it states it is good to 1000 to 1500 grit. Would be interested in hearing whether others like this product...

I thought IP is more aggressive than Menz power gloss???

Thanks a lot guys.

So you think I should stick with the brand and get Menz PG, or should I get Opt Hyper Compound?

PowerGloss is what you want, I've had alot of success using it with the "Menzerna System". It is more agressive than IP but finishes out very nicely with very very minor hazing. Power Gloss followed by Final Polish/SRC equivalent (PO85RD?) will do the trick very nicely.

Did you try applying lots of pressure and making slow passes with the PC using IP? Have you got any reduction so far with IP?

Yeah I tried that. There's reduction on the deeper swirls. I'm going to do my moms green Blazer, and it's really bad. That's why I asked for a more aggressive product other than IP.

As for my car. It's in real great shape. A few swirls, but that's really it. I want to do my hood. I'm sure the IP will take care of it. It's not noticeable unitl you see it under a light. Just want to have a more aggressive polish handy.... just in case.

Good chart. Might be worth putting the Menzerna codes on it. My bottles don't say Power Gloss or Final Finish. They are most likely re-packaged for USA users.

Appreciate the quick-reference though.

Thanks.

Does anybody know for sure how the abrasiveness of Menzerna PG compares with OHC?

I want to use PG but I'm worried its far too agressive.

I can't compare it to OHC at the moment but can say that you don't have anything to be afraid of unless you attack the car with PG an a wool pad without the proper experience. ;) It's abrasive but it's not brake fluid(removes paint very shortly after contact).

Here's another chart similar to the one posted by veloboard. It has an extra column or two allowing a comparison between the Menzerna and Optimum products. Poke around and you'll see a pad chart too.
