Whats the most you would spend on on a LSP?

UPGP, $70 is where I am happy.

I totally understand the Vintage concept. Get the good stuff if it is your profession and or hobby. Cheaper than manny hobbies and nothing is better than a happy customer!

This question is all relative of your income and what you think too much money is. A person that makes $250,000 anually thinks $200 for a LSP is not a lot of money.Take a look at these car shows, they would pay anyting cause they have unlimited amounts of money. To me the limit would be about $100 but it all varies on the thought process

Souveran is the most expensive wax I've ever bought. Though I bought it via autogeek's "forum favorite" back when that first came out and was an insane deal (under $80 for PS, PCM, and 16.9 oz KAIO and KSG bottles, plus some applicators and towels).

Absolutely it's all relative. I get way more bang for the buck from a bottle of ColorX than from anything else, but that doesn't mean I don't use anything else. Just like with cars or anything else, everyone has their own value equation.

At this point, though, the most I would spend on an LSP right now is $0. I have so many products that work just fine and will last me another 10+ years, I'm not inclined to throw money away just to try something else out (though I used to and can understand why other people will).

I did just get some of the Edge wool pads to try out though, as Superbee's ravings about wool pads piqued my interest.

unless your salary is 10,000 a year but you have saved for 20 years and then you buy the 8,000$ zYYmol wax.

Heh heh, that's the way I oughta be thinking too, I have enough LSPs to last for ages too. Just keep wondering if I'd like an EG as much better than Souveran as I like Souveran better than some others

I never could figure out why people spend so much on these high end waxes. .. I cannot see any difference between it and a good sealant.. [I'm] guesing if I did part of my car with PS, part with Concorso and part with a good sealant nobody would be able to differentiate between any of them. Maybe I just don't know what I should be looking for but I just don't get the whole carnuaba thing.

If you can't see a difference, then yeah, you'd be silly to change from what you're doing now.

On some paints, some people *could* tell the difference (in person, not via pics). If you're used to seeing a certain look, anything else is obviously better/worse. Last time I tried something other than Souveran on the Jag (P21s) it looked far too reflective, with too little depth for my taste. I know *exactly* how I want that paint to look and P21s wasn't it.

If you don't see the difference, lucky you :D And I mean that seriously! I wish my wife couldn't see differences in LSPs on her silver Audi, I'd just use Collinite on it.

Parking the two silver Audis (same age, same paint, same basic model) side-by-side, differences in LSPs can be *VERY* obvious. That might be an ususual situation, but it probably helps "educate my eye" with regard to such differences.

10 bones for Megs 26.

With results like this I need look no further.

I like that I am not the only one who makes their minivan look good. I thought I was all alone!!

Heh heh, nah, there are a few of us who keep their minivans as nice as their more interesting vehicles :D

Just waiting for my glasur to come and while I was looking on some tips/input/history on it I stumbled upon this thread.

I would think 100 euro (about 130USD) would be my limit. Highest amount up to now is 80 euro (about 105 USD) for my RG55. Glasur came to about 65 euro only on a very sweet deal.

So far the most I've spent is $40 for CG Pete's 53. I also have AG HD, which goes for $50-60, but I got it for $10-20 on closeout. And those are two of my favorite waxes. But I can see spending $100-150 on something out of curiousity.

I would've expected some of the new coatings available to be closer to those higher price points. I'd see more justification for that than a carnauba product. I think I got a $100 wax for about $55 or $60. If I were to do it all over again for that type of product, probably not. I'm not into coatings,at least not for paint, so if I were to get one, I'd wait for a generously discounted price.

These days, I just research, and research more and if there's a product I'm inticed enough by, I wait patiently for a good sale. Few impulse buying from me any more-like I need more products.

As I'm always saying on threads like this (and probably already said on this one), if somebody wants to spend [whatever amount] to buy [whatever product] for [whatever reason], it's his money and I'm not gonna call him a "sucker" since I don't know his values hierarchy and thus can't render a meaningful judgment.

If I could get an LSP that looks like Vintage, lasts/protects/stays slick like FK1000P, and is as user-friendly as Souveran...and yeah, smells like some product I enjoy using ;) ...then sure, I'd pay four figures for it.

You hit the key "platinum standard" attributes on the head.( although I'm a fragrance-free preferer) If a product has all of them, the justification may start to make more sense. I'm confident we're gonna see it, the technology appears to be there and I don't see it having to cost a grand+. The time will come pretty soon I bet!
