Whats the most you would spend on on a LSP?

i've got a nice collection of waxes, pete's 53, 50/50, natty's blu, s-100, just recently the most i've spent on a single cotainer of wax is $76 for purple haze dodo juice. i think i'm done for awhile, i'll use that lineup up first before i buy any more.

50 bucks tops. Even then it's more for the novelty factor. I think DG105 and AW looks amazing on prepped paint and I'm only out like 14 bucks for them both.

The most for me is Natty's white, blue, and red as a combo, i think it was 45.00 bucks and opti-seal 24.00 bucks, but for something over 100.00 i would rather save my dinero and buy a rotary instead.:waxing:

While I have been known to spend a lot on carnauba, I really agree because I know that when I got my makita my results went through the roof. Now I have no idea how I got along with a PC, all I use that for now is waxing.

Someone said $1,800.00, with that kinda dough I'd buy that carpet extractor I want and charge more for details!

Like the majority it seems, PS will probably be the most I'll spend. I just had to try it for myself.

I was going to say I'm probably the only one who has PS on a Taurus, but it looks like I share that distinction with silk :hifive:

$1,800.00 for a lifetime of Zymol's Vintage Wax. Simply the best I have ever used. Looks are incredible! Looks is what I want. Vintage is my choice They could a different container to put it in. The container probably cost quite a bit. Pin Souveran No.2 .... I have tried dozens of waxes and sealants. The choice has been made to what I like visually. Everyone is different and their likes are different.

I always wondered about the benefits of the lifetime refills.

To me, it seems like unless you are doing an exorbitant amount of high-end garage queens, or wax your own car everyday...just based on the application of wax (less is more) it seems like the wax will outlive you :faint:

I'm not knocking you in anyway, if you (or anyone) are able to afford it and it gives you what you are looking for, consider yourself fortunate and more power to ya!

I just can't see paying more than I do for my mortgage for a LSP no matter how great it is. Of course, I don't have a luxury car, so take that for what it's worth. Getting PS was a stretch enough for me

Vintage by price is ment for the higher end client. It is often assumed that person has a car collection.

Even for those who dont have a car collectin though it could be worth it.

Forexample there are 7 cars in my imediate family. (5drivers, a sports car and a 55 t-bird)

My dad has goten into the world of little birds, so it could be use to 9 before I know it. I go through alot of wax. Theres no doubt about that. I use a sealent on mostbut it just dosent do it for me. So I wax over top.

I could wax each a few times with 22oz, but would still evenelty need a refil (perhaps faster then thought, since its hand application)

Yeah, I understand what you are saying.

I just see that price tag and think of so much more I can do/get with it. But I'm not Zymol's target customer, so...

But it's all relative I guess. If I told some people what I paid for PS (or any other boutique product) they probably would react as if I did get some Vintage. :soscared:

Dailyshine no problem, I see where your coming from. I love detailing my car. Some people like to play golf. I would not spend more than a couple hundred bucks for some clubs. But people spend thousands on clubs, membership fees, etc, etc...... Football, love to watch it. But I ain't going to spend the money it takes to buy tickets! So why not spend money on something I like??? To each his own. Everyone's different thank god!!

I've thought about that too as I consider the purchase of such a product. My last can of #16 lasted me well over a decade and I used that on a *lot* of vehicles. The Souveran I'm using now on the Jag...well, I'm on my third jar since the 1980s, and I used to also use it on several of our vehicles. If I only use a wax on one or two garage queens I won't be refilling it very often, and I don't want to pay for the privilege.

IMO that muddies the waters too much, I'd rather just consider this as a stand-alone purchase decision. In my case, I already have everything else I need..I just have my limits regarding what I'll spend on a jar of wax.

I don't *think* that's the same as saying "if you had unlimited funds", it's just considering the wax all by itself: what'll ya spend for a jar of wax?

You only live here once. Next place for me the pearly gates. You can't take it with you when you go. I, as much as my pocket book can stand, am not going to say coulda, woulda, shoulda. One day the red RX8 is going to turn into a red Vette Z06 with vintage on it.

Heh heh, I sure can't argue with that (says the guy who's owned dozens and dozens of cars) ;)

Hey Accumulator, I'm not tired of seeing your signature all the time. You add so much to these forums. You have earned my respect many times over. Your like EF Hutton, when you speak I listen!!!!
