What's the latest tech on polish pads? Hot stuff?

Checking in after a while away,


 


What are the current *best* pads to use with polishes these days?


 


Also are there any hot new products out that really deliver? Has the tech finally caught up the detailing world?


 
 
I like the MF pads from LC (Mequiar's has them too).


 


These have replaced my Yellow cutting pads. Faster cut, finish well (no holograms) if you use the right polish.


 


Where have you been?
 
The question really is has the technician caught up with the technology


 


The pad range today features about seventeen or more types of materials and differences between models of each type 


 


microfibre is the default pad for most of the work with zero marring or haze on 99% of paints with any one polish and similar finish to a light cut/good finish foam pad


 


Perhaps one day the universal pad will come into reality, do anything you want with it from correction to fine finishing
