I have a 2012 black acura tl that has p40 polish, black light, jetseal 109 and 5050 paste wax. What is the best way to strip all these chemicals off my car so I can start with blackfire ice over fire kit.

Thanks guys

While you may be able to "chemically strip" it by spraying or wiping something on the paint, the best way is to use a paint cleaner (if not polishing). This will not only remove all the old product, but will also clean the paint so its ready for a new wax or LSP.

Years ago, the only way to do what you ask was to load up a bucket of water with Dawn dishwashing soap and washing the car 1 or more times, until the rinse water no longer beaded on the surfaces..
Surprisingly, this method still works for what you are doing on your car, but would not fare well with some of the new and newer coatings out today.
You using CG products, they should come off on their own very easily or wash off easily as well..

i use cg citrus wash red to 1 oz to 1 gallon to strip waxes down-pretty affordable if you buy it by the gallon

i say get into your hazmat suit and hose the ride down with ammonia. it should easily strip the wax or lsp, and unfortunately the clearcoat, the paint, and the primer at the same time. :D

I have used Griot's Garage paint prep and it seems to work pretty good. You wash your car, rinse, leave wet, spray on and work in with a MF towel or wash mitt and rinse and dry. They make a pre-wax cleaner and that is for wiping off polish residue so if you look into their products don't get the two confused.

We should change the title to, "what's your favorite way to stripe wax?" It just seems like everyone has there own way. How about just a full decon with some iron x? Will that not remove all the lsp? I have also heard of doing a basic wash with some level of APC added to the wash bucket.
