I use and APC (megs APC+) then use meg ColorX

ColorX is really handy for surfaces that you really only want to go over once, its a great cleaning wax that leaves a great shine. Perfect for door jams and the underside of hoods.

apc is generally safe for paint... but make sure you read the label because stuff like simple green is pretty harsh.

Usually a 4:1 dullution or higher is safe, but wait for others to chime in, just in case. I mean I've been using megs apc+ for 10+ cars and havent had an issue yet.

I use Poorboys Spray and Wipe. It works great as long as it isn't too greasy. No chances of hurting the paint (like an APC) and can't beat the ease of use... spray on wipe off :).

i spray with bleach white, then scrub with soap and water with a soft brush. The bleach white cuts any grease in there and has never stained for me.

I clean with hi temp apc 20:1 or meguiar apc+ 10:1, and then once clean, shine with either ocw, or Z8, and finally, dress rubber seals with CG VRT.

If they are really greasy and nasty - I've had success with Eagle One All Wheel & Tire Cleaner, spray, let it foam, brush or use a throw-a-way towel, then rinse. Otherwise I just an old sponge with the car wash bucket AFTER I do the car - sort of my last step before pouring it out.

My thoughts exactly. And because the door jamb areas are normally sheltered from the elements, the shine should last for a full week before we attend to them again.

I use ONR. Works very well for this purpose, and once I am done I will hit it with some AW for some protection and gloss. Plus, it makes future cleanings a breeze.
