What's the best process for Ceramiclear paint?

Depending on the condition of the paint, I'd cut it down with your go-to compound and then follow with Menzerna SIP > 106ff > 85rd. Most Mercedes (since 05) have been produced with hard ceramic clear coat (CeramiClear) and special polishes like Menzerna really do a great job of breaking into the surface.

My wife's BMW has really hard clear. I had success using Meguiar's 105 on an LC purple foamed wool, then Menzerna 106FF on a white pad.

You also might want to try the new Menzerna 106FA. I just did a Silver BMW 645 and really liked the outcome: less dusting, longer working time, and a great finish.

For compounds: 3M Perfect-It 3000, System One, Menzerna Power Gloss to name a few. Also, try a panel (1/2 door for example) with wool and switch to foam to see which produces the best results. The hard clear coats can be fussy on which pad will correct the fastest/best.

Another great product for hard clear is 1Z High Gloss Polish (Hochglanz).

It's designed for hard clear, and (IMHE) is easier to work than Men. 106 and it leaves less residue after it's broken down. It's also much cheaper; it'll give you beautiful results.

Also like to add a recommendation for 4" pads if using a Porter Cable. PFW, PC, and SIP did a good job of correction on my 07 C230. Best advice I can give is BE PATIENT. :waxing:

I used some cutting pads and Z-PC on "6" on a PC last night on the first Benz. It really cleaned up the paint nicely. Still some embedded swirls but we tested the trunk lid on this black Benz with the client and it was good enough. I could make it perfect with a rotary and more aggressive polish but the client was very happy.
