What's the average detailing age

i'm going on 41 now and been detailing kinda since a young boy, my father would not drive a dirty car. although his cleaning a car back then and my cleaning a car now is a hole diff concept.. now i clean his cars for him

47, been taking care of mine and my families cars for many years.
find detailing rewarding and relaxing..:)

45, but turning 46 next month. Been detailing since the '71 Firebird I had when I was in my teens back in the 70's.

I will be 62 in April, retiring May 1. Not a pro detaler, but have loved cars and trucks for as long as I can remember. Folks used to laugh when I put so much effort into cleaning/polishing the old 1939 Chevy farm pickup. I just love cars and keeping them looking good. Glad to see a few other old timers on here!

I'm 44

Growing up my dad would buy old cars, fix them up and sell them. My job was usually cleaning. Got pretty good at making old paint look good.

I find that detailing old cars is something that relaxes me.

46...bought my first car in 1977, a 63 Ford Comet, straight 6, $300.00. Had it painted dark blue....washed it every weekend. Hit it with Turtle Wax every month by hand. When I had some serious money I bought a 1972 Dodge Swinger, Slant 6....wow that was a long time ago.

Looks like Charles is the oldest one here unless
I tell my age and then he will be next to the oldest :D
Not quite.
A member with the user name Gadfly has you beat by a few months.
Granted you have me by a little over a year, but Gadfly has me by just a few months more. :D

I'm actually not 100% sure that Gadfly is the oldest, but right now I can't think of any member older.

In post #39 of this thread I said I was 57, and now I'll be 60 in two weeks. I guess that makes this an "old" thread.:lmfao
