27....heheh the ladies on the board sure are staying out of this post

A gentleman does not ask a lady her age
And if asked, a lady does not reveal it!

See my signature :innocent:

Im 32, but 33 is right around the corner. Been awhile since i've taken math, but it looks like the average age is around 32 from the above post.

51 I've been into cleaning car snice I was 15 or younger.....My Dad was a car nut and always washed and waxed his cars/truck once a week....That's where I get it from.

Looks like we have a mostly younger crowd here, but glad to see there are some more mature :w00t: car nuts here! :innocent:

18 and loving it. Haven't gotten to detail in a while due to my pursuit of an Mechanical Engineering degree but hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

61 here. Not a pro detailer, but have always had an interest in cars and keeping them looking their best. Only complaint I have is that the knees are starting to show signs of aging.

44 and counting. Been detailing and/or customizing since high school. Three kids definitely puts a damper on the time for fun, yet I am hopefully instilling into the younguns a respect of a job done well and attention to detail in whatever endeavors they pursue.

Turned 30 this year. I started getting crazy about it in 1996 when I learned of Meguairs 3 step system. It has grown uncontrolably from there.

49 yrs old. Not getting any younger BUT, the cars I work on get shinier like my balding head!!!

Since you didn't specify professional detailers I will say I'm no professional at this but i have been doing this since I was 17 and have kept up on the latest by chattin' with professional detailers in my area. Those same people taught me how to use polishing machines (before the foam pad days)

It wasn't until I landed my cushy finance job with a movie studio (11 yrs ago) that afforded me the salary to buy nice cars then I stopped buying detail products at pep boys. I have since learned about the poorboys, PS21, ect ect what I like to call boutique products and it's pretty much what i stick with.

39 and wishing I knew then what I know now.

Took a job in a detail shop at 22 for a year and learned on my own until I started surfing the 'net in '97. Once I discovered DC, MOL, Autopia etc, my learning curve went through the ceiling. I have since become far better than my old boss (and I've even returned to BS with him once in a while & rub it in :whistling )

Hey, cool stuff. I've seen your trailer around PSL... :punk:

I'm 38, getting to old man category.

In the old man category @ 44. Will be 45 next week. Just started detailing (only as a hobby) this year when we bought 2 new cars, and I love it! My previous cars were only worthy of the automatic washes once in a blue moon.

57 here, been detailing my own cars since I was a teenager but have only been doing it "right" for the last year.
