What's your age? Alot of people on here ahve some high-dollar cars, and usually have families. Am i an oddity at only 18 and having such interest in detailing?

Definitely you are not odd. I'm 29, but I've been detailing cars since I was 17. If this website was in existence then I would have started posting at a much younger age. However, I don't think many people even had any idea about the internet back then.

43yrs old also ,another old man. I've been in this business for 28 yrs still open to learning new ideas. keep on detailing. all the best, Detail Dave

30 in April. I've been here since DC began, but I didn't register till whenever I registered. I've been on the online detailing scene since around 2000 sometime and have been detailing since '97.

I'm 23 and have been into detailing for 4 months. I own my own shop called "3 in 1 Auto Detail." Am I the most inexperienced here? ;)

Well, I'm going to knock the average in the head.
Born 02/02/1935 which I think puts me some months over 70. Been into cars since I was about 12 or 14. That's a lot of "wax on, wax off".

I think Gadfly beats me by a couple of years and it seems like there is at least one other old coot on here.

Do you 40 year olds really feel that old? The only time I feel old is when I sometimes can hardly move from trying to do too much in one day. Like when I wash one of the vehicles and decide it needs another application of whatever. That's usually just after I mowed the yard. Seems like anytime I do house stuff, I think I have to do some car stuff, too.:)
