What's in QD Spray?

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
I have used plenty of QD sprays over the years...some seem to have higher gloss than other but leave a somewhat oily effect on the car...other don't but don't have the pop that I like...just wondering what is in these magic elixirs.

I've not given this much thought until recently:D

if we told you, we'd have to kill you :kick::bonk::chop

I would expect that from you:D
Don't let Steve discourage you in your quest for knowledge.
I'm sure if you contact Sal or Barry, they will be glad to help you. :D

When they give you that information, isn't it going to be almost as important to know how much of each ingredient as it is to know the ingredients themselves?
I guess maybe you can experiment with the mixture for a few years and come up with something. :bigups

they won't really tell you and then again like you said, you'd never know how much of each:notme:

To give an even more vague answer...
each QD will have different ingredients depending on the job it was intended to do, clean, enhance shine, protect, etc...

Gosh, I thought when you talked to the owner you got all the answers. :)

My comment was intended as sarcasm. :)
I doubt that Sal will tell you anything about his products makeup and I doubt that you would ever get to talk to Barry, let alone get any answers.

It's also unlikely that either one will know just what and in what quantity the ingredients will be. That's why they and Poorboy pay chemists big money.

Its not the actually amounts of indegrents its what they are that I am wondering...The information is available online I'm sure just didn't want to take the time to look for it.

Mother's Showtime and I believe a lot of other QDs contain alcohol for fast evaporation ... other than that I have no clue ...

That's probably part of a MSDS and if I'm not mistaken, all the manufacturer has to list is anything that can be hazardous.
Chances are the Meg's QD Spray has more than those two ingredients. :)
Maybe not, though. I sure don't know.
