There is no cure!
This goes out to all the Detailing Chemist.
On the wheel cleaning thread a lot of us were recommending against the extended use of Simple Green. I know that it's not good on a lot of surfaces. I've seen it instantly discolor the aluminum sides of my garage door, but other than seeing it dull paint, remove ss paint, and discolor aluminum on surfaces around the garage, I don't have an explanation as to why.
Whats the actual bad ingredient in Simple Green that causes it to be soo dangerous.
what other APC contains this ingredient. i like to use Costco's "Oil Eater Degreaser" to clean tires/wells/wheels at times when a good generous cleaning was needed and have not noted any bad effects. Would you guys say its just as dangerous?
What type of active ingredients do MOST APC's contain?
