What's everyone using to "spot treat" MF's before washing?

My grunt microfibers get pretty filthy. Usually I rinse them thoroughly until the biggest of the dirt is out of them, then let them hang until I'm ready to wash a load of em.

Anyone soak them in anything or spot treat them with Shout or something? I'm getting them pretty clean, but standing there rinsing every spot out takes quite a while.

Spots are just stains, just like dye, they shouldn't effect the towel performance in any way. If they do then they aren't clean enough!

I understand this, but I refuse to "clean" something with a towel that "looks" dirty. Just doesn't make sense in my brain, no matter how clean it really is. Presentation is everything.

Boy your dedicated....I shake em, throw em in with some tide, and tumble dry. If theres spots on them i live with it !

Yeah, me too. With well over 100 MFs now, I'm not going to lose sleep over spots, nor spend half my evening pretreating them.

Most cases I just toss 'em in the wash with Tide Free and dry, but if there happens to be a stuborn spot that I notice, I'll take a soft nylon brush to the spot under hot water.

Mr Clean, if they are really impregnated with wax or sealant. If I soak or spot treat them, I get less **** for using the home washer (no waxy ring).

I'm with du3ce and PanaPower.

A couple squirts of Dawn into the washer with the regular laundry detergent before the cycle starts and they come out very clean :D.
