What's best 1-step wax for neighborhood detailer?

Give deals to the people who spend more. If they spend 100 I do extra for them. When they pick up I always say "I threw on some RainX for ya" or "wiped down the interior with 303". They think there special and they'll brag about getting extra stuff. People love to think there getting something for free.

Meg's #66 applied by PC would do just fine. Good look and a super slick finish that the average Joe will love.

If you have time, do one panel as a 2 or 3 step with SG as the LSP. Show them why the extra steps are worth it. After the one step was worn off the SG will still be going strong.

I've being using Hi-Temp "PPG" as a one step lately. I really like it.

mother's cleaner wax

has just enough abrasiveness to get rid of water spots and built up grime off the paint, (not enough to remover swirls tho, of course)

If you use AIO as a one step the client would NOT be happy with the lack of protection. Better to use cheap carnuba/ploymer spray for cheap jobs. Final Detail by dupont is good for this, but there are many. You do not want a cheap job to look as good as an expensive job. Through the one step philo out, unless your starving and need the money. These jobs lessen your reputation as a serious detailer and people will opt for the cheap job to often. A good detailer has to be a good salesman, sell the 5 step detail, and get paid for it. For every customer who wants the cheapest option there's a customer who wants the best. You just have to find them. If you let me know where you live I might send you ideas, I just have to make sure you don't live close to me. I don't touch a car w/o an agreement of at least $150.

theres some people that use the Megs 66 but trust me once you learn how to layer these products 1 steps are going to be at the back of yourmind

The first time I used AIO by hand I was :shocked. I have never used another product that has given me these results by hand and as a one-step! This product is amazing! It started to rain, so I went inside and turned on the tube, A few hours later I decided to snap these shots.

The car is a 94 and this was done shortly after I bought it about 2-3 years ago.

At this time I was only using what was available at local stores. Since becoming an autopian, I have tried a few products and AIO is still a favorite of mine, the PC is also. :D

AIO will make your detail look great! No doubt! But the protection is lacking, park under a tree and get some sap on that baby and kiss your customer goodbye. Finish it with something, anything.

I agree you have to finish it, I currently have 3 coats SG and plan on doing a 4th and maybe topping with 16 before winter. There may be lighter cleaner and more protection type product more suited for newer cars, but klasse is a great product.

First off I don't have any costomers, I detail for free, freinds and family, I just love to do it. They are very pleased with my work. Second, I don't want a costomer who thinks sap falling on his car is my fault. :nixweiss
