im looking for something that will remove micromarring. Ive notice when iuse a rotory theres always either light swirl marks or micro marring left. for example i was working on my gf's car with a rotory and light cut @1500 then should i use light cut again with the pc and polishing pad or should i go to something like DACP. any suggestions i was going to go with AIO but i dont know if it has fillers  what do you guys think. so im looking for something that will remove light swirls & micro marring. Should i be using a mild smr or a strong/mild polish

Machine Polish / Foam Pad Combinations:

Always start with the least abrasive combination, i.e. a level 1, a 1500 grit abrasive polish and the least aggressive (polishing) foam pad. If that combination doesn't remove the imperfections, using the same level 1 polish and change to a more aggressive (cutting) foam pad

If the surface imperfections remain, then step-up the abrasive to a level 2 (mild) a more than 2000 grit polish and use the least aggressive (polishing) pad. Proceed as necessary by using the same level polish and going down to a lesser aggressive foam pad.

Machine Polish:

Are formulated from granules that diminish with use and they contain 50% less solvents, they are biodegradable and water-soluble, products that use diminishing abrasives also use rich, high lubricant polishing oils to buffer, or cushion their abrading power that results in a finish that looks polished (glossy) not scratched.

Always finish with the next lower level of abrasive i.e. after using number 1 (medium) a 1500 grit polish, continue with a number 2 (mild) a more than 2000 grit polish, and then a number 3 (fine) a less than 2000 grit polish, whatever grade you start with always finish with a the least abrasive polish, number 3 (fine) a less than 2000 grit polish, or a very fine, 2500 grit or less polish.

(I hope this all makes some sense as I just put it together, if anyone has any correction to it feel free to e-mail me, Thanks)

I think I've read that to follow Megs DACP use #9

~Hope this helps ~

man you confuse the **** out of me  im just looking to get some brands of polishes that i could use to follow up with if i use a smr. I have Poorboys Pro Polish but i cant get it to work it gets too smeary & hard to remove. Same goes with 82 which is supposed to be a Swirl Free Polish.

I guess im getting confused about following up a SMR/rotory with a smr/pc cause i feel like i should be using a polish and not another smr
