im doing ...burgers/ baby back ribs/chicken/hotlinks and probably some brats ...my favorites areusually ribs/ links i can skip the rest if those are on the menu

My neighbor is in charge of the grill today. I am making my all day baked beans and a red bean salad. I'll probably make my stuffed jalapenos on my kettle as well.

I was a cook in the Army and have no desire to venture near the grill anymore. Kids and grandkids are at the lake and camping. Mom and I have the pool to ourselves. She plans on burgers with corn on the cob with garden grown greenbeans (neighbors garden). As long as my Bud Light and her cranberry and vodka holds out I think we will survive. Hope everyone has a great 4th.

I'll be making my favorite chip dip and I think my buddies are going to be firing up the grill. Ingredients for the dip are below. It's really unhealthy, but it's worth it.

1 brick cream cheese
1 small can of Rotel(diced tomato mix)
1 small tube of Jimmy Dean sausage

Cook sausage in pan and drain. Combine cream cheese, Rotel(do not drain) and sausage in bowl. Microwave for 3 minutes and mix. Microwave for another 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy. Should serve 4 people, double when necessary.

Times may vary for different microwaves.

One of my best friends father's was a cook in the Marines. He loved to cook till the day he died. He was a great cook, many of my recipes came from him.

Started the grill at 7:30 to get 18 small pork chops done. They are still over 1" thick cooked. We normally have a potluck picnic after the parade both we had heavy mist all morning and the other parents and kids were wet and cold and went to there in laws place in Audubon. So wife took kids to the games and then we went home for a nap. Fireworks in town tonight. I did take some pictures during parade, Im ashamed to show them though. LOTS OF UGLY PEOPLE OUT TODAY!!!!! The hotties must have covered up or stayed home.

Dam!!! Eat way too much. Truley feel like a fat American.

Be proud!! A lot of men and women died so you could feel that way.:USA

16 oz Black Angus NY strip with a peppercorn glaze and a baked sweet potato with a brown sugar and cinnamon butter. Yum Yum! And lots of Guinness.
