Hi all.

I know it's not for car detailing, but I have a question.

I just traded my snowmobile for a brand new 2010 one. On my last one, the seat was all black, so it was really easy to clean. Now, on my new one, the sides of the seat are going to be bright white. It is a kind of vinyl/leather.

The problem is that only from the rubbing of the winter suit when we are driving, the sides as a tendency to stain where it rubs.

Following pictures are from my dad 08 Ski-Doo GSX. The red part on his are going to be white on mine. In the spring/summer, it's kinda easy to clean with some APC. But in winter it is another story, since I don't have access to a heated garage to do the cleaning.

Can you recommend a product to use that would/could reduce the staining during the cold months? I do dress the sides of the seat with ADS after I'm done cleaning.

Thanks for you help

When I had my sport bike, "Smokin' Joe's Edition", the seat was purple and white. I used bleach white to spray on to the white part of the seat to keep it bright white. I never applied anything to it afterwards in fear that if it were to get wet if caught in the rain, the seat would become very slippery and possibly dangerous.

Well, I don't apply any dressing where I seat for that purpose. Only on the sides (red parts on the pictures).

My main goal would be to find a kind of "sealant" that would avoid the seat from staining during winter. Like I said, out il the cold, APC is almost useless.

I'm not sure if it would work but you can try 1Z Einszetts Cockpit Premium. I use that on plastic and vinyl on cars. Its a light cleaner and protectant.
