I ask this question now, partly for future reference, and partly just for my knowledge... Many months ago I owned a VW corrado, that I was in the process of trying to sell. One RAINY day I had to drive the car to the train station, and leave it there for the day. It was very rainy and windy that day, as I recall. When I returned, however, the sun was out, and it was quite warm. When I approached my car, I see this black plastic bag partly on my hood, and part on the passenger side front fender. I go to remove it, and feel some resistance. I proceed with caution, and finally get it off slowly, only to uncover an imprint of the plastic bag which had obviously been wet, stuck to the car, then baked on in the sun.
Initial attempts with a cleaner wax helped a bit, but would only be temporary, and upon close inspection, it could still be seen from certain angles. I had a shop detail it, still there!!!!
I ended up selling the car to a guy who did notice it, and I explained what happened. He sounded confident that he could get it out. So who was I to argue. :nixweiss
What would you experts have done in this situation? (sorry for the lengthy post)
