What would you do next?

hello everyone,

I am new to detailing and I just want to ask some of you guys that has done detailing.

I did the 3 steps Maguire commercially available waxes yesterday to my car. The shine was good and I did all the work by hand. I am so afraid to use my inexpensive polisher because my car is only 2 months old.

My question to you guys: Do you think I will need a polymer sealant wax to finished off the job? If so, what do you guys recommend? Is Maguire #21 good and do I need a PC to apply it?

id suggest you replace step #3 wax with a better product...theres lots of choices out there, maybe #21 , nattys blue or collinite for a durable winter wax
 
I would definetly go the Polymer route. 20 or 21 would be much better then the "#3" Deep Crystal System product......You have every reason to be concerned with that "Inpexpensive" polisher on a new surface. Those are the ones that can cause problems.....as there arent a lot of choices when it comes to pads.

So ask Santa for a 7424/7337, pads, and carry on by hand until it arrives, then youll be able to master surface protection, easily! But get some Polymer or Collinite in there!
 
dudley doright- Yeah, you can do better than the DC#3 wax.



Since you already have the DC#3 on there, and many/most synthetics don't bond all that well to wax, I'd just top it with some Collinite or another good wax.



Next time you do the three step process, replace the DC#3 with the #21. You can generally apply waxes over synthetics but not the other way around.
