It is a White Passat wagon i have to detail and I swear i have never detailed a white car so naturraly i dont know whats going to work on that color, I could waste time trying or take some advice. I have a bunch of Megs and Hi-temp products, so i probably have it if you say it.

Thanks in advance:xyxthumbs

If you use any of the quality products and follow the right process, you'll get a car that will be dazzling. I've had success with Megs#80, VM and EX P,but I have seen other combinations work just as well.:D

I agree with the above, if you do it right, you can make turte wax look good..

I think Mosca once said 'I'll bet anyone that I can make a car look better with turtle wax and proper preparation than they can with Zaino and no prep.'

That's more true than you can imagine.

With that said, since it's a light color, i'd try to go with a good sealant over a carnuaba, to get the shine rather than the warm reflections...

I dunno what you have, but you should be able to find something that does the trick...

I'd stick with the products you have and concentrate on claying and polishing to bring up the shine on the paint to the maximum.

From that point, it's about personal taste.. IMHO I'd stick with a sealant over a wax based LSP.. the clarity and high shine offered by most sealants compliments white very well (again IMHO).

LSP = Last Step Product or Last Stage Product.

Just like it sounds, it referes to the final wax / sealant you use on the paint.

I just detailed my white Civic today.

I used AIO topped with 4* UPP. Tomorrow I'll do another coat of UPP.

It made the white SUPER white, very clear and bright. Sort of like when you look at paper in Staples; you have the 84 brightness and then the 96 brightness. Both are white, but the 96 just pops out.

I'm doing a white Cavallier next week and my arsenal will include a 1000W halogen ..& #80 .. Swirls etc will be hard to see in white so polishing to a light like that will give a good solid base to work from .. then the LSP .. and in this case its going to be FMJ.
