What wax to use????

morning....my truck is a metallic beige, i think they call it pewter.
I have been reading threads and replies. And i see that some wax are made for dark color paints and some for light color paints. Which is a good wax for my paint to bring out that show car look
 
I'm a natty's fan here, both the original and the blue.
With a color like that I would try the original and try to bring out the flake.

I believe Norah has that color so maybe she will chime in

What waxes do you have? If you have the "original" Natty's then I'd go with that.
 
rabbi...well i don't have anything yet...i live in florida and to me it's too hot to wax and i keep my truck outside...so i said when it starts to cool down i want to wax it. but i need the right wax. and so far a couple of people have recommended natty's
 
Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax (clear) and Poorboy's EX-P sealant are meant for light colors, and both can be used in the sun
 
Regardless of what wax you choose, be sure your paint is prepped and ready for waxing. Most any wax over a well prepped surface will look good. Most waxes won't look their best over a surface that isn't cleaned and polished.
Since you seem to be leaning towards Poorboy's products, why don't you contact Steve, (Poorboy), and get his recommendations?

yeah i have been reading that good prep is good before you wax
from what i have learned from a few people...is that you:

wash
clay
rinse off clay
polish
sealant
wax

i can apply poorboys in the sun?so if i choose poorboys...use the ex-p sealant then the paste wax... and how do you contact Steve?

Sounds good to me, just make sure to wait 24 hrs. after applying EX-P before putting Natty's on. U should either post your questions in the Poorboy's sponsor forum (bottom of main forums page) or ask him directly:
