I'll give ya my first 2 cars.. 1st, a 1975 Chevy Vega !! Then a 1978(i believe) Ford Pinto with the exploding Gas tank !!! And I loved Both of those cars.. Detailed them??? Not a chance !!

First and only car is in my sig. My grandpa bought it new, my mom bought it from him, and I bought it from my mom. I have all the records and despite my constant complaining about it being an auto, I love it to death.

My sister and I inherited a 1977 Pontiac Grand LeMans Station Wagon, midsize, metallic light blue with artificial simulated plastic wood trim (aka contact paper). We washed her once or twice, with dishwashing liquid, but since the frameless windows no longer contacted the top of the car, we kind of let mother nature take care of her inside and out. One day, after we'd had the wagon for about a year, my sister's boyfriend came over and changed the oil on his 78 Camaro in our driveway. My sister said, "Is that just something you have to do with sports cars?" He looked horrified, and 20 minutes later he was draining black sludge out of our beast, for its first oil change in a year. Later, I managed to set the carburator on fire, but that's another story.
First car I owned the title to was a 1989 Mazda 323 SE, sunset red. 220k miles and she still runs pretty well.

Purchased in 1969 for £8 (about $60 at that time).
I found this picture on Google. The car's identical; apart from having LHD and no rust.
I didn't know much about cars then. It came complete with serious body rust, shot rear suspension, one bald tire, drank nearly as much oil as gas. But it was one helluva car. Easy to pick out in parking lots in Perth, Scotland (where every other car at that time was a Rover 90) due to the pointing up nose (thanks to the shot rear suspension).
I drove it into the ground over the 6 months I had it. The girls (and everyone else) loved the luxurious leather seats. Only one car ever overtook me; a powerful new Jaguar. Apart from its faults it was a great car to drive, and powerful. I covered over 12,000 miles in that 6 months and loved them all.

Early 80s Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz nicknamed "The Pimpmobile", handed down from dad and prone to fail since it was one of first cars with new chips....

1977 Olds Cutlass Supreme:
Faded burnt Orange, black Landau vinyl top, tan cloth interior, 3 sp. auto trans., 350 4-barrel v8 engine. Purchased with 81,000 miles. It smoked from time to time, had developing rust in the rear lower quarter panels, and various leaks. It was a dependable car though. I used to pile wax on top of it every year because I wanted to improve the quality of its paint which was cloudy and faded at the time. I found out, though, that what it really needed was a good cleaning and polishing instead of the gobs of wax. Remember Simonize wax?? I did a full session on this car. That was the best that paint ever looked, and yes it took a full afternoon.
This car inspired my current car which is (also in my sig.) an '02 Camaro with a 5.7 liter v8, Sunset Orange Metallic paint, black top with t-top glass panels, and a neutral tan interior. It represents all that I wanted my first car to be, but could not because of its structure, money of course, and relative time and technology of cars then. We are still waxing at this point, but at least I learned a thing or two since my first car and those days of piling on wax. If I could only see then what this paint would look like.......
