What to use before Pinnacle Souverän

I am buying some Pinnacle Souverän this week to use on my Super Black 350Z. I was wondering what is the best product to use below the Pinnacle Souverän since it will be my LSP. I was thinking about use AIO or NXT below it but I figured I would ask for some advice here first.

Also, is the Orange pad or the yellow pad the more cutting pad? I though the Orange was more cutting than yellow but I want to make sure before I buy some pads. Pads are here:

Thanks for the info.

Look if your paint is in really good condition go get Pinnicle paint cleaner.Put that under your Souvern and STAND BACK and ADMIRE your paint.First of all I have several black cars and this combo works for me.Second of all I like to use products from the same company(In my mind I would think they work better together).Third of all if your car is a 350Z it's new and I would think you don't need anything else just paint cleaner and Souvern

AIO is probably the best base for any product you plan on using.

I have a question about that. If AIO leaves behind a protective layer that eventually "fades", why would you want to put a non-acrylic product on top of it. If the AIO fades what happens to the layer on top?.

AIO won't fade for over 4 months. There sure won't be any carnauba left by that time. If you keep adding toppers, the AIO never really has the chance to "fade", theoretically.

I've heard from some people that AIO leaves very minimal protection? Unless you are adding toppers that will add to AIO's durability wouldn't if fade?

I have a black Lincoln LS. I've used PPCL and AIO prior to Souveran. On that car, I prefer AIO/Souveran. On my other car, a sapphire blue metallic Miata, I prefer PPCL/Souveran initially but came to like AIO/Souveran better as time went on.

My choice is AIO.

As ALAN81 stated, the carnuba wax (PS) will "fade" way before AIO.

My question is directed more towards this. I originally thought that AIO has excellent durability alone, but others have told me that it's actually very little, some have even stated next to none, and not really effective unless used with SG?

I would rate AIO's durability as moderate, surely if you add SG you would have a much more durable combo, but if you're considering AIO + PS, the PS is the "weak link" of that combo.

If you're planning to use PS as your LSP on a daily driver you should plan to re-apply frequently.

Definitly agree with that, but why would someone use it under and LSP like zaino?

In my experience, AIO will last a good while (several months).

FWIW, according to the manufacturer and retailers, 2 applications a year should be sufficient. Take that as you will.

People use it under Zaino because it is a very effective paint cleaner and leaves a great surface to start with.

Oh, now I see what you're getting at.

I don't believe you have to worry about the durability of AIO if you top it with a sealant with more durability, e.g. SG or Zaino.

Most people use AIO in this type of application to "prep" their paint so that the sealant has a good surface to bond to.

I will try the AIO, NXT, PS combo then on my Z.

I am buying either some s100 or #16 for my white 1996 Sentra also and will try the AIO, NXT, one of those combos also.

I finally got a camera so I will have some pics when I actually do it.
