What to top NXT with?

I have used the NXT X 2 on my Black truck followed up with P21S and it makes a great combination. The secret is 2 coats of NXT with thorough drying time between coats and thorough curing time before the P21S goes on. #26 should be used in the same fashion. Ample curing time for the NXT. Typically at least 24 hours will give you great results.

Meguiar's recommends this actually. I too have topped it with #26 and loved it. I've even topped it with Max Wax and got a great look.
 
NXT is indeed a sealant.



I have to recommend a combo Scottwax turned me on to when NXT first came out...

The NXT deepens the color while the #16 adds a crystal clear wet look to the paint. :up
 
OK how long should i wait to top NXT with S100?

when ppl say let one coat of NXT cure for 24 hours, do they mean let the wax sit on the paint for 24hrs before buffing it off?
 
For quite a few years I used NXT topped with #26 and it looks phenomenal. NXT gives it a really nice sheen shine and then the 26 adds gloss and depth.
 
Here is my procedure, lenghty but worth it to me anyway. This is on my Black Truck.

Wash

Meguiars #83 or #80. (Whichever is needed)

NXT

Wait 12-24 hours

NXT

Wait 24 hours

PS21 or #26

This is what I did when I read about this (#7, NXT and #26...until I substituted #21 for the NXT. The look and it is simply outstanding in every way and has a very fundamentally 'right' to it. The #7 polish was the critical step.
 
I think that many are shortchanging the NXT (paste) cure time. It continuously improves its appearance for a week. Wait a week before reapplication. I had NXTx5 at some point without using toppers. It lasted pretty good.

Well, you're right! I applied the #26 last night (on top of two previous coats of NXT) and she looks great!! Thanks again :thx
