What to put after Final Polish II?

GlossyTundra

Tractor Detailer
I just ordered some mezerna fpII and was wondering what to do after that step? Would I go to a glaze like RMG, or go to a sealant like UPP or AIO, or go to a nuba like nattys blue or #16/s100.

Any advice on how to work fpII?

Thanks

well... to be truthful, you could use all of those! my favorite combo on my tC is RMG/UPP/Natty's Blue. A glaze, sealant, and a nuba wax. You could glaze and then top with a carnauba, or you could go straight to a sealant and then top, or leave untopped. the possibilities are endless! (well, not really, but you have alot of choice in your LSP's)

If I had plenty of time, I'd definitely go for all of those. Realistically, I'll typically seal after using Final Polish.

If you feel you need a glaze then FPII, FG and FMJ are a great combo. If you finish is good then I will just go to FMJ.

I don't see much of a need for a glaze after FPII unless the finish is not to your likings, in which case, a glaze will just hide the imperfections. Menzerna polishes finish out very nicely. I always find myself scratchinig my head with what to go to after polishing with them as well. I usually go with an acrylic sealant (Klasse or Jeff's) and a high quality pure carnauba wax (Pinnacle Souveran/Sig, Natty's, S100, or a liquid wax like CMW).

I would either top the FP2 with a good wax or sealant. I really don't see a point in a glaze unless you are really aren't satsified with the look of FP2, which I doubt you will be.

I would go wit RED MOOSE GLAZE then Natty's Blue .... I have to disagree. I think the RMG feeds the car things that give the car more shine and depth. I always use a glaze before a LSP wax. Wear you sunglasses, Maui Jims to be exact. IMHO

I used VM and then FMJ on one car.

I used VM and Zaino Z2 with zfx with the other.

this peaks my interest as i thought VM has too many oils for Zaino to bond with ? :nixweiss

Thanks guys, I think I may just see what the finish looks like after fpII. may go for rmg, may not. I havent decided for z2 or upp for my sealant.

I agree that IF you must follow Menzerna with a glaze, RMG is the way to go. I always follow SSR's and OP with RMG and love it. I can just never convince myself to glaze a properly Menzerna'd finish. It always looks so perfect afterwards.

RMG/Natty's Blue is quite stunning, especially on flat black/red. RMG/Souveran is tops for a garage queen, though!

I have heard that as well. What consitutes the fact that Z2 has not bonded? Wifey car beads like crazy with the VM between Menzerna and Zaino Z2. To be honest I like VM and how easy it goes on so this is why I used it. Maybe I should get some RMG and not use VM any more.

Sorry for slight highjacking. :)

I've been doing;

FPII/FMJ/Natty's Blue this has provided me with a great depthness and awesome reflectivity

after a couple washes I'll do coat of VM then reapply the FMJ/Natty's/or souveran
